Kingsley resident dies in one-vehicle crash

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

A driver from Kingsley was killed in a one-car accident Monday afternoon on Highway 140 south of Kingsley.

Aaron Ronald Foster, 29, lost control of his pickup for unknown reasons and it veered into the west ditch, colliding with a utility pole about a mile from Kingsley at 12:38 p.m.

Foster had been northbound on Highway 140 near the intersection of Quartz in his 2006 Blue Dodge Ram.

Kingsley Ambulance, Kingsley Fire and Rescue and deputies from the Plymouth County Sheriff's office determined that the driver was dead on the scene. The authorities had been summoned to the scene by several callers reporting the accident.

Foster was transported to Floyd Valley Hospital and pronounced dead by Plymouth County Medical Examiner Dr. Sheila Holcomb.

Foster lived at 307 Burlington Street in Kingsley.

Investigation of the accident by the sheriff's office and the medical examiner is ongoing.
