The Plymouth County Relay For Life committee announces luminaria bags are now available at a number of businesses in Plymouth County.

The 2008 Relay For Life of Plymouth County will be held June 6 and 7 at Le Mars Community Schools' Jim Lorenzen Field.

Hundreds of decorated and lighted luminaria bags will surround the track during the luminaria ceremony at 10 p.m. Friday, June 6, honoring cancer survivors and remembering loved ones who have battled the disease.

Area residents may purchase their luminaria bags at the following locations around the county:

In Le Mars - The Craft Den, Nilles Chiropractic, Vantus Bank, American Bank, First National Bank (south branch, business Hwy. 75), N.W. Iowa Credit Union, and Kingsley State Bank.

In Akron - Akron People's Bank.

In Kingsley - Kingsley State Bank and American National Bank.

In Remsen - Mrs. B's Convenience Store and American Bank.

In Brunsville - Iowa Prairie Bank.

In Merrill - Iowa Prairie Bank.

For a $5 donation, individuals may purchase the bags, decorate them and return them to the point of purchase for inclusion in the luminaria ceremony. Bags need to be returned no later than Wednesday, June 4.
