Don and Marilyn Marx of Remsen will observe their 40th wedding anniversary on May 3, 2008. The couple celebrated their anniversary this spring by taking a trip to San Antonio, Texas, and plan on having a family get together this summer.

Don Marx and the former Marilyn Bridgeford were married on May 3, 1968, at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. They have five children: Chris and Krista Ahmann of Hartley, Shane Marx of Remsen, Melissa Marx of Tulsa, Okla., Travis and Jessica Marx of Spirit Lake and April Marx of Tulsa Okla. They have eight grandchildren.
