Kirk and Nancy Flamming of Lawton and Richard and Betty Benson of Remsen announce the engagement of their children, Laura Flammang and Matthew Benson.

The couple is planning a June 7, 2008, wedding at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City. The reception will be held at the Hinton Community Center in Hinton.

Laura is a 2004 graduate of Lawton-Bronson Community High School and a 2008 graduate of Briar Cliff University. She is currently substitute teaching at area elementary schools.

Matthew is a 2002 graduate of Remsen St. Mary's High School and a 2007 graduate of Briar Cliff University. He is currently pursuing an industrial technology teaching endorsement at Wayne State College. He is also substitute teaching at local schools and is employed at Bomgaars in Sioux City.
