The engagement and approaching marriage of Kristin Zwart and Joseph Thomas Ortmann of Sioux City is announced by their parents, Jerry and Mary Zwart of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Tom and Tina Ortmann of Le Mars.

The couple is planning a 4 p.m. ceremony on June 28, 2008, in Kalamazoo. A reception will follow at Brook Lodge in Kalamazoo.

The couple will be honored at a reception in Le Mars on July 12 at the KC Hall.

Kristin received her bachelor of music degree from Hope College in Holland, Mich. She is employed with the Sioux City School District as orchestra teacher for 4th-12th grades.

Joseph is a 1999 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College and is employed with Electric Innovation in Sioux City as a telecommunications systems engineer.
