Kathy and Jeff Faber of Le Mars, and Julie and Jim Goodin of Sloan announce the engagement of their children, Emily Faber and Jon Goodin.

The couple is planning a July 26, 2008, wedding at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Reception will be held at the Orpheum Theater, Sioux City.

Emily is the granddaughter of Rita Starzl of Le Mars and the late Rome Starzl, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Faber. Jon is the grandson of Melvin and Dorothy Ortner of Mapleton, and Donna Goodin-Musil of Phoenix, Ariz., and the late Jacob Dwayne Goodin.

Emily is a 2001 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 2006 graduate of Morningside College, Sioux City. She is a graduate student in the Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University.

Jon is a 2003 graduate of Westwood High School, Sloan, and a 2007 graduate of Morningside College. He is an Executive Team Lead in Human Resources with Target in Oklahoma City.
