Amanada and Dustin Heitmann

Amanda Ahlers of Remsen and Dustin Heitmann of Holstein were united in marriage on Oct. 20, 2007, at St. Mary's Church in Remsen with the Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating.

Parents of the couple are Paul and Mary Ahlers of Remsen and Jon and Pam Heitmann of Holstein.

Grandparents of the bride are Ervin and JoAnn Ahlers and the late Clarence and Rosie Keffeler, all of Remsen, and grandparents of the bridegroom are Eldon and Alice Heitmann of Holstein and John and Shirley Felts of Le Mars.

Maid of honor was Jessica Ahlers, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Audrey Ahlers, sister-in-law of the bride, Penni McIntosh and Jessie Heitmann, sisters of the bridegroom, Kendra Ahlers, cousin of the bride and Jessika Roder.

Junior bridesmaids were Taylor and Miranda Staab, cousins of the bride. Flower girl was Hailee Knight, friend of the bridegroom.

Best man was Jeff Felts, cousin of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Steve and Matt Ahlers, brothers of the bride, Brandon Felts, cousin of the bridegroom, Michael Ahlers and Brad Knight.

Junior groomsmen were Colby and Austin Felts, cousins of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Rylee Canady, friend of the bride.

Seating the guests were Nick and Mark Staab, cousins of the bride and Kevin and Keith Felts, uncles of the bridegroom.

Personal attendants were Jessica Swatek, Lynn Nitzschke, Joanie Loutsch and Kayla Berendes.

A reception and dance followed at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen.

Amanda is a member of the 185th Refueling Wing and works in the Mission Support Flight at the 185th. She is also attending college online with Bellevue University, majoring in healthcare management.

Dusty is employed as a service technician at Titan Machinery in Kingsley and also farms and raises cattle in Holstein.

After a wedding trip to the Black Hills and Caribbean, the couple is at home in Galva.
