Arthur L. Coon, 82, of Akron died peacefully Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., after losing his battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Horizons United Church of Christ, 141 Reed St., Akron, with the Rev. Steve Jewett officiating. Private graveside services will be held at a later date, with military rites.
