The possibility of the problem followed a question raised by Delana Ihrke, a council member, regarding calls she's received from residents in the neighborhood near the new Habitat For Humanity home.
Residents there, she said, were concerned as to whether water in basements of some nearby homes were a result of construction-related drainage problems.
Langel said he thought that "seasonal weather problems" not drainage was responsible for flooding in the basements.
Council members, during the Tuesday session, also approved the rezoning of Lots 1 through 6, Block 1, Kenaley Ranch, First Addition, from R-1 (residential district) to R-1A (medium density residential district) upon recommendation of the planning and zoning board. They also approved renewal of a Class B Native Wine Permit for Originals By Design, 200 Plymouth St. S.E.
