Larry and Janet Kennedy of LeMars announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their son, Ted (Theo) Kennedy to Katherine Rose Skidmore of Cincinnati, Ohio. Kathy is the daughter of Keith and Nancy Skidmore of Pearson, Wis.

The couple is planning an Oct. 4, . wedding in Milwaukee, Wis. All friends and family of Theo are invited to an open house on May 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the 4 Brothers Grill in Le Mars, to join together in the celebration of the upcoming wedding.

Katherine is a graduate of University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and is currently employed by Canon USA Inc. as a district account executive.

Ted graduated from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla., and is currently the director of healthplan management for HDMS, Inc.
