John and Mary Leonard of Le Mars announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Colleen Leonard of Omaha, Neb., to Patrick Shane Coughlin of Omaha, son of Vince and Cody Coughlin of Sioux City.

The couple plans an April 5 wedding at Willow Creek Golf Course in Le Mars.

Erin is a 2001 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School in Le Mars and a 2006 graduate of Morningside College, receiving a bachelor of arts degree in English education and media studies. She currently teaches at Benson High Magnet School in Omaha.

Her fiance is a 1998 graduate of West High School and a 2002 graduate of Briar Cliff University, receiving a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He is currently employed at Werner Enterprises in Omaha.
