Dennis C. Carlson, 87, of Akron, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Akron Care Center in Akron.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. The Rev. Laurice Streyffeller will officiate. Military rites will follow by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron. Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Hurley Cemetery in Hurley, S.D. Visitations will be after 3 p.m. today (Friday), with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home -- Schroeder Chapel in Akron. Visitation will resume from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
