Lillian Haisch, 90, of Laurel, Neb., died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge, Neb.
Lillian Lena Haisch was born Dec. 30, 1916, at Randolph, Neb., the daughter of Emil and Amelia (Stapelman) Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church at Randolph and was a choir member. Lillian was a graduate of Randolph High School in 1934 and received a two-year normal teaching certificate. On June 8, 1948, Lillian was united in marriage to Alvin Haisch at St. John's Lutheran Church. They made their home south of Laurel.
Lillian was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and an honorary member of the L.W.M.L. in Laurel. She was an accomplished seamstress and sewed much of her family's clothing. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery work, and especially baking for the church bazaars, and playing bingo at Park View Haven.
Lillian is survived by two daughters, Rosanne and her husband, Bill Osterbuhr of Le Mars, and Lynette and her husband, Brad Penlerick of Laurel, Neb.; four grandchildren, Todd and Trent Osterbuhr of Le Mars and Jason Penlerick of Ponca, Neb., and Jessica Penlerick of Laurel, Neb.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvin and one sister, Ellen both in 1988.
Funal services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Laurel. Burial will be in Belden Cemetery at Belden, Neb. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today (Friday) with the family present from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Haseman-Schumacher Funeral Home in Laurel.
Active pallbearers will be Todd Osterbuhr, Trent Osterbuhr, Jason Penlerick, Ben Galvin, Steve Ebmeier and Mark Ebmeier
