For Plymouth County, snow fell during the early evening hours Tuesday, blanketing Le Mars with an additional one-and-one-half inches of wet, heavy new snow. This is in addition to the two inches of precipitation left by previous snowfalls.
This fast-moving snow system, the National Weather Service out of Sioux Falls reports, will be leaving Plymouth County by mid-morning on Wednesday. Cloudy skies will remain, with a high near 29.
