Freda H. Dreeszen, 99, of Akron, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. The Rev. Laurice Streyffeller will officiate. Burial will be prior to the services at 2 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Merrill. Visitations will be after 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, with the family present after 6 p.m., and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at the church. Visitation will resume from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Carlsen Funeral Home -- Schroeder Chapel in Akron.
