Gina Marie Bernardo, Algona, and David Matthew Christoffel, Granville, were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville. The Rev. Richard Ball officiated the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Parents of the bridal couple are Joe and Marilyn Bernardo of Algona and Gary and Carol Christoffel of Granville. Honored guests were Vince and Joan Bernardo of Algona and Arlene Galles of Remsen.

Pat Bottjen, Le Mars, provided music for the wedding. Danika Portz, cousin of the groom, sang three solos, "You Raise Me Up," "I Will Be Here" and "How Beautiful." Joan Bernardo, grandmother of the bride, sang a solo, "Ave Maria." Andrew Portz, cousin of the bridegroom, was the violinist.

Stacey Bernardo of Algona was the matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Christoffel, sister of the bridegroom, Katie Christoffel, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Alissa Pogeler, and Leah Schroeder, cousin of the bridegroom.

Alyssa Ohrtman and Stephanie Robinson were the bride's personal attendants.

Curtis Christoffel served as best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Jordan Christoffel, brother of the bridegroom, Jeff Schroeder, cousin of the bridegroom, Ryan Block, cousin of the bridegroom, and Tanner Christoffel, brother of the bridegroom.

Seating the wedding guests were Nic Bunkers, Dustin Follmann, David Hoeppner and Ryan Ohrtman.

The reception was at the Hospers Community Center in Hospers.

Gina is a 2003 graduate of Algona High School and a 2006 graduate of Des Moines Area Community College. She is currently employed with American State Bank, Granville.

David is a 2002 graduate of Spalding Catholic School and a 2006 graduate of Iowa State University. He is currently employed with Monsanto, Spencer,

The couple currently resides on an acreage outside of Granville and plan to take a wedding trip at a later date.
