The engagement and approaching marriage of Marcia Langel of Le Mars and Brandon Homan of 29 Palms, Calif., is made known by their parents, Steve and LuAnn Langel and Paul and Glenda Homan, all of Le Mars.

The couple is planning a 2 p.m. ceremony on Dec. 29, 2007, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars. The reception will follow at the Le Mars Convention Center upper level.

Marcia is a 2006 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and is attending the University of Iowa studying graphic design.

Brandon is a 2005 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and is serving in the infanty in the U.S. Marine Corps in 29 Palms, Calif.
