Doug Mertes, 58, of Merrill, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at his home in Merrill.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with the Rev. Dan Grieving of the Merrill Assumption Catholic Church officiating. Inurnment will be in Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Visitations with the family present will be after 4 p.m. Friday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars followed by a 7 p.m. Scriptural wake service at the funeral home.
