Brent and Ashley Den Ouden

Ashley Elizabeth Hettinger and Brent Jay Den Ouden of Akron were united in marriage July 14, 2007, in a double ring ceremony at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. The Rev. Gary Landsness officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Ken and Nancy Hettinger of Le Mars and Alan and Deb Den Ouden of Akron. Grandparents of the couple are Curtis and Darlene Kistenmacher of Holstein, Carol Hettinger of Atlantic, Marvin and Carol Kroksh of Akron, and Casey and Jane Den Ouden of Seney.

Providing nuptial music was pianist Kris Kistenmacher, and a vocal quartet of Nathan Hettinger, brother of bride, Jim Kistenmacher, uncle of bride, Kris Kistenmacher, aunt of bride, and Kalli Kistenmacher, cousin of bride.

Shannon Hettinger, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Alicia Harms, Katie Schoenrock, and Liz Less, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids.

Mitch Less, friend of bridegroom, was best man. Kyle Hoffman, Jason Moffatt, and Tony Tapper, friends of the bridegroom, were groomsmen.

Seating the guests were Nick Harms, cousin of bridegroom, and Clint Hughes, friend of bridegroom.

Zoie Miller, niece of bridegroom, was the flowergirl. Levi Miller, nephew of bridegroom, was the ringbearer.

The reception was held in the lower level of the Le Mars Convention Center.

Ashley is a 2002 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 2004 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College. She is employed as a sales coordinator for Peterbilt of Sioux City.

Brent is a 2000 graduate of Akron-Westfield High School. He is self-employed as a farmer.
