Janelle Madsen and Benjamin Johnson were united into marriage on June 9, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake, Minn. Father Andrew Olsem officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Duane and Joan Madsen of Heron Lake and Carl and Joann Johnson of Ireton.

Matron of honor was Rachel Haar. The bride's attendants were Carole Reinhardt, Cassandra Leopold, Hannah Koep, Megan Leopold, and Alyson Dufault. The flower girl was Adelee Reinhardt.

Personal attendants were Greta Johnson and Jessica Zellar.

The best man was Matt Hoover. The groomsmen were Matt Fjeld, Ryan Webb, Nick Borns, Ryan Hodgson, and Spencer Mortensen. The ring bearer was Matthew Madsen.

Seating the guests were Troy Haar and Matt Ridge.

The reception and dance were held at the Heron Lake Community Center with Ron and Barb Burke and Jim and Mary Barker hosting.

Janelle is a 2001 graduate of Southwest Star Concept High School and a 2005 graduate of South Dakota State University. She is currently employed for Iowa State Extension in Plymouth County.

Benjamin is a 2001 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 2006 graduate South Dakota State University. He is self-employed in farming.

After a wedding trip to Colorado, the couple is at home at rural Ireton.
