The trap shoot will be held at Le Mars' Sportsman's Club on C-38, one-half mile east on Highway 75.

"If the kids aren't already a (Pheasants Forever) Ringneck member," Slota says, "we'll sign 'em up for $5 on the day of the trap shoot."
"That's a $10 savings," he adds.
The Ringnecks will shoot as part of three classes: youth men, ages 12 to 15; youth men, 16 to 18; and youth women, 12 to 18.
Prizes will include a Remington 870 Express Youth in each age class, a Pheasants Forever embroidered Boyt gun case, and a Pheasants Forever youth hunting vest.
"We're hoping for a good turn out," Slota suggests. "We've invited kids from Sioux and Cherokee to participate as well."
The Plymouth County Pheasants Forever and the Le Mars Sportsman's Club will be providing all of the clay birds and shotgun shells, along with hot dogs, chips, soda, and water to all Ringnecks and their parents and guardians.
"We'll also have a 'Lazy Shot' set up," Slota says. "It's a way for kids to get a feel for hunting through an interactive video set up."
"It's essentially a cool video game," he notes, "but it's a lotta fun."
If you'd like to participate, contact Mike Slota at (712) 786-2420 or at mslota@midlands.net.
"With our youth trap shoot," Slota continues, "we are hoping to promote gun safety and to create a fun atmosphere."
"And with hunting season, just around the corner," he suggests, "the timing couldn't be better."
