South Dakota man arrested after Akron incident

Monday, August 20, 2007
A Beresford, S.D. man turned himself into the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office Monday regarding a situation that occurred in Akron two weeks earlier.

Information developed over the course of an investigation led to the sheriff's office issuing an arrest warrant for Tracy Lee Snedeker.

At approximately 9:33 a.m., July 27, Marta Sanchez stated that while she was at work, her children reported a man had entered their Akron residence.

The children were unaware if anything was taken and Sanchez immidately called 911.

Plymouth County depties arrived at the scene and spoke with the occupants of the house. They were able to give investigators a physical description of the vehicle driven by the unknown man.

The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office also reported that an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the residence.

This information led to the arrest of Snedeker, Plymouth County Sheriff Mike Van Otterloo said.
