Evelyn C. Sitzmann, 93, of Olathe, Kan., and a former Sioux City resident, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in Kansas City, Mo.

The former Evelyn McCammond was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Lewis, Kan. She was raised in Le Mars. She lived in Sioux City and most recently in Olathe, Kan.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Ron and Kay Sitzmann of Lenexa, Kan., and Val and Vida Sitzmann of Sandy, Utah; two daughters, Judy Harrington of Estes Park, Colo., and JoAnn and her husband, Scot Cantwell of Omaha, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Valentine Sitzmann; three brothrs and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Neptune, with a nephew, the Rev. Richard Sitzmann, officiating. Burial will be St. Joseph Cemetery, Neptune.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Christy-Smith, Larkn Chapel in Sioux City.
