Allan and Peggy Smith of Merrill announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Janora Smith of Orange City to Brad Korver of Alton, son of Don and Marilyn Korver.

The couple is planning a Sept. 29, 2007, ceremony at 5 p.m. at Merrill Melbourne United Methodist Church with a reception and dance following at the Hinton Community Center.

Janora is a 2003 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 2007 graduate of South Dakota State University. She is employed with Land 'O Lakes in northwest Iowa.

Brad is a 2003 graduate of MOC-Floyd Valley and a 2007 graduate of South Dakota State University. He is in partnership with his father on the family dairy farm northeast of Alton.
