Kristine Djerf and Jeff Jelken announce their engagement and approaching marriage. The couple is planning a family wedding ceremony on Sept. 8, 2007, in Wakefield, Neb. The reception and dance will follow at the American Legion Club in Brunsville.

Jeff is a 1994 graduate of Le Mars Community School and is involved in the operation of the family farming business.

Kristine is from Cedar Rapids, and has a background in international sales and marketing. She is now pursuing a Spanish teaching degree at the University of South Dakota.
