Chad Lang, son of David and Kathy Lang of Le Mars, announces his engagement and upcoming marriage to Ericka Sproul, daughter of Tim and Cindy Sproul of Missouri Valley.

The couple's wedding is planned for 3 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2007, at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, with a reception and dance to follow at the Le Mars Convention Center.

Chad is a graduate of Le Mars Community High School and the University of Northern Iowa. He is a social studies teacher and assistant varsity basketball coach at Kirksville High School in Kirksville, Mo.

Ericka is a graduate of West Harrison High School and the University of Northern Iowa. She is a second grade teacher at Kirksville Primary School.

The couple plans a wedding trip to the Riveria Maya.
