John Blackmore, 78, of Merrill, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Sioux City.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Johnson Township, rural Merrill, with the Rev. Peter Boe officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery at Merrill. Visitations will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with the family present after 6 p.m. to greet friends followed by a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitations will continue Friday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
