Lea Kahrs and Kirk Peters of North Liberty announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Lea is the daughter of David and Mary Kahrs of St. Olaf, Iowa, and Kirk is the son of Charles and Beth Peters of Le Mars.

The couple plans to be married July 7, 2007, in a 4 p.m. outdoor ceremony at South Slope in North Liberty. The reception will follow at the South Slope reception hall.

Lea is a 1995 gradute of Central High School in Elkader and is a 1999 graduate of Loras College in Dubuque. She is employed as a HR generalist for Heartland Express in Coralville.

Kirk is a 1996 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School in Le Mars, and a 2000 graduate of the University of Iowa. He is employed as a retail operations manager for the University of Iowa Hawk Shop.
