Dave and Deb Cooper of Olathe, Kan., announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Cooper of Olathe, to John Hessenius of Le Mars, the son of Rich and Lois Hessenius, Le Mars.

The couple plans a July 7 wedding at St. John's American Lutheran Church in Le Mars.

Miss Cooper is a graduate of Bishop Heelan Catholic High School and is currently attending Loras College. She will graduate in December with a B.A. in elementary education. Her fiancé is a graduate of Le Mars Community High School. He is currently attending Loras College and will graduate in December with a B.A. in elementary education.
