Joan Portz, 71, of Remsen, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at her home in Remsen.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call any time after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen. There will be a rosary at 3 p.m. by St. Mary's Guild and Christian Mothers and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
