Plymouth County Treasurer Linda Dobson will be signing up applicants who may qualify for a state credit on their house taxes, mobile home, or rent reimbursements.

Iowa residents who own their own homes must be 65 years of age or older by December 31, 2006 or who are totally disabled and 18 years of age or older by December 31, 2006 and have a total household income under $18,876 for the year 2006 may qualify for this state credit.

Dobson recommends that you bring in your 2006 income tax return, Social Security statement of earning, and any other income amount that you received in 2006 to one of the following locations:

April 30 -- Hinton Community Building from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

April 30 -- Merrill Civic Center from 1 to 2 p.m.

May 1 -- Remsen Library from 9 to 11 a.m.

May 2 -- Kingsley City Hall from 9 to 11 a.m.

May 3 -- Akron Library Community Room from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

May 3 -- Westfield City Hall from 1 to 2 p.m.
