Paul and Nora Erickson of Dayton announce the engagement of their daughter, Marta Erickson, of Denver, Colo., to Peter Smith of Westminster, Colo., son of Dan and Val Smith of Merrill.

The couple will be married May 12, 2007, at Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp in Story City, Iowa.

Marta graduated from Wartburg College in 2005 and works at Andre's in Denver.

Peter graduated from University of Northern Iowa in 2002 and is youth director at Broomfield United Methodist Church in Broomfield, Colo.
