Allene C. Fiedler, 91, of Le Mars, died Wednesday April 11, 2007, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

The former Allene Cecelia Treinen was born Aug. 26, 1915 at Alton, the daughter of Peter and Lucy (Greff) Treinen. On Sept. 11, 1933, Allene married Raymond Peter Fiedler. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Oyens area for many years. Later on they became involved in the bar business for several years. Allene was also employed for many years with Sacred Heart Hospital in Le Mars.

On April 26, 1989, her husband Ray passed away. The last few years Allene had resided at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.

Allene was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She enjoyed baking and gardening. Allene loved listening to KLEM radio where she would never miss a broadcast of any sporting event.

Survivors include two sons: Wayne "Dick" Fiedler and his wife Judith of Phoenix, Ariz., and Buck Fiedler and his companion Joyce Pitts of Le Mars; a daughter at heart, Liz Foreman and her companion Vern Hoops of Le Mars; three grandsons, Richard Wayne Fiedler of Phoenix, Ariz., Blaine Foreman and his wife Lisa and Taage Foreman and his wife Michelle, all of Le Mars.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Bortscheller, Mrs. Kathleen Junker, Mrs. Lois Bushee and Mrs. Vivian Bortscheller; and four brothers, Clarence, Raymond, Peter and Kenneth Treinen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars with the Rev. James Tigges presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today (Friday) at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars, where there will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume from 11:30 a.m. until service time at St. James Church on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Fritz Dirksen, George Dirksen, Mel David, Clark Pitts, Blaine Foreman and Kenneth "Butch" Treinen.
