Ashley Barfels and Aaron Prieksat, both of West Des Moines, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are Dan and Kathy Barfels of Cedar Falls and Carl Prieksat and Diane Prieksat, both of Le Mars.

The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. May 26, 2007, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Waterloo.

Ashley will graduate from the University of Northern Iowa in May and is student teaching at Valley in West Des Moines.

Aaron is a MACC 2006 graduate of UNI and is a CPA at Ernst and Young.
