Duane and Sharon Popken of Le Mars announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Michelle of Le Mars to Chris Nilles of Le Mars. He is the son of Daniel and Sandra Nilles of Le Mars.

The couple is planning a May 12, 2007, wedding at 4 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Le Mars. The reception will follow at the Le Mars Convention Center upper level.

Michelle is employed at First National Bank as an investment services specialist and loan support specialist I in Le Mars.

Chris is employed at Wells' Dairy, Inc. in Le Mars.
