Paul and Trudy Hassman

Paul Hassman and Trudy Wetrosky of Ankeny, were united in marriage Oct. 14, 2006, in the Upper Level of the Le Mars Convention Center. Judge Jeff Neary officiated the 7 p.m. sunset ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Bill and Bonnie Caravan of Le Mars, and Kevin and Helen Reed of Remsen.

Shannon Langel of Le Mars, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were April Hoogland of St. Louis, Carly Niichel of Cedar Falls, April King of Le Mars, and Molly Van Engen of Orange City.

The flower girl was Briana Kay, daughter of the bride.

The bride's personal attendant was Marie McCormick of Burlington.

Best man was Kevin McCormick of Burlington. Groomsmen were Jeff Hassman of Des Moines, Steve Lee of Atlantic, T.J. Caravan of West Des Moines, and Bobby Hassman of Sioux City.

The ring bearer was the couple's son, Taye William.

Seating the guests were Marshall Cox of Ames, Matt Cox of Cedar Falls, and Andy Schlievert of Des Moines.

A champagne reception and dance followed immediately, also in the upper level of the Convention Center.

Trudy graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 2000 and is employed as an administrative assistant with Action Staffing in Des Moines.

Paul is a 1993 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and has been employed by Fareway Foods for 15 years. He is currently the assistant market manager at the south Ankeny Fareway store.

The couple currently resides in Ankeny with their two children and will take a wedding trip at a later date.
