Kayla DeRocher of Akron and Chris Koch of Ireton announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Kayla is the daughter of Dennis and Jane DeRocher of Akron. Chris is the son of Jeff Koch and Brenda Gengler, both of Le Mars.

The couple is planning a 2 p.m. ceremony on Aug. 4, 2007, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ellendale.
