Julie Nelson and Mike and Ann Nelson of Remsen, and Loren and Lynn Mohning of Marcus, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Kristine Marie and Joseph Alan.

A May 26, 2007, wedding is planned at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen, with a reception to follow at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen.

Kristine is a 2003 graduate of Remsen St. Mary's High School. She is currently working on her master's degree in accounting at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Joe is a 2002 graduate of Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School. He will graduate in August with a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
