Magan and Michael Horstmann

Magan Michele Harpenau and Michael Mark Horstmann exchanged marriage vows on Friday evening, Dec. 29, 2006, at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. James Tigges officiating the candlelight ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Amy Harpenau of Le Mars and the bridegroom is the son of Mark and JoAnn Horstmann of Sutherland. Grandparents are Shirley Harpenau and the late Al Harpenau; Marlie Koopman and the late Marcel Koopman; Ed and Elaine Horstmann and the late Fritz and Margaret Link.

Matron of honor was Alicia Ott, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heather Einck, Mandi Sievers, Christy Schroeder, Natalie Horstmann and Makayla Partain. Flower girls were Kaeley and Whitney Einck, nieces of the bridegroom.

Kory Dau, friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Tony Einck, Ryan Farquhar, Tim Wittrock and Matt Einch. The ringbearers were Cody and Carson Ott, nephews of the bride.

Seating the guests were Justin Ott and Rich Rausch.

Personal attendants were Sarah May, Cecilia Granstrom and Elaine Partain.

The wedding reception and dance were held at Hole 'n Wall Lodge in Akron.

Magan is graduate of Huron University with majors in business and marketing. She is a sales representative with Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

Michael is currently engaged in farming and is employed at C-S Agrow Services.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple is at home in Sutherland.
