Floyd W. Hummel, 93, of Elk Point, S.D., formerly of Westfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Prairie Estates in Elk Point.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Monday) at Carlsen Funeral Home-Schroeder Chapel in Akron, with George Affeldt officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery at Westfield, with military rites conducted by American Legion Hoschler Post 186 of Akron and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 915 of Elk Point. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
