Kellie Rae Book and Christopher Ray Hamel were united in marriage Sept. 16, 2006, at Fremont Evangelical Free Church in Fremont, Neb. Pastor Jim Fain officiated.

Parents of the couple are Robert and Teresa Book of rural Akron, and Michael and Carol Hamel of rural Craig, Neb.

Katie Book, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Book, cousin of the bride, and Jamie Henkel, cousin of the bride.

The flower girl was Delana Henkel, cousin of the bride. Laura Fitzke was the bride's personal attendant.

Markus Hamel, brother of the bridegroom was best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Bannister and Jason Ferguson. The ring bearer was Aaron Fitzke.

Ushers were Jonathan Grayson, cousin of the bridegroom, Brent Fitzke, and Scott Wagner.

The wedding colors were deep red and silver, and the flowers were deep red roses and white calla lilies.

A reception and dance were held at the Hooper Auditorium in Hooper, Neb.

The couple returned to Omaha, Neb., to make their home following a wedding trip to West Palm Beach, Fla., and Singer Island.

Kellie is a disability adjuster for Applied Underwriters in Omaha and Christopher does sales and advertising for Hamel Manufacturing (his family business) in nearby Waterloo, Neb.
