Cody Lee Holtrop, 4 months, of Sheldon, and the son of Ashley Holtrop and Raymond T. Katka Jr., died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at the Sioux Center Hospital from injuries sustained in a three vehicle accident. Cody's father Raymond T. Katka Jr. was also killed in the accident.

Survivors include his mother, Ashley Holtrop; one sister, Kylie; grandparents Sherie Ginger and Roman Arens of Remsen, Myron and Vicki Holtrop of Sheldon, Phyllis Kelly of Rock Rapids, and Ray and Lisa Katka of Ohio; great-grandparents, Dan and Elaine Ginger of Primghar and Marvin Holtrop of Sheldon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; great-grandmother Mary Smith; great-grandparents Gladys and Perry Bowen, and Verla and Dan Ginger.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Reformed Church in Sheldon with the Rev. David Brower officiating. There was no scheduled visitation.
