Larissa Nowell Ek of LaVerne, Calif., and Darryl Ray Gotto of Glendora, Calif., announce their engagement.

The couple is planning an October 2007 wedding at Linley-Scott House i Azusa, Calif.

Larissa is the daughter of Gloria and Daryl Ek of LaVerne, Calif.

She is a graduate of Cal Poly in Pomona, Calif., and is a teacher in LaVerne.

Darryl is the son of Linda Gotto of Glendora, Calif., and Darryl and Denise Gotto of Monrovia, Calif., and the grandson of Joyce Gotto, formerly of Le Mars.

He is a graduate of Charter Oak High School and is a graphic designer in Glendora.
