Arnold H. Haage, 84, of 6005 Haney Rd., Glasford, , Ill., died at 7:50 a.m. Friday Oct. 27, 2006, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Ill.
He was born June 22, 1922, in Le Mars, the son of John and Sena (Cassens) Haage. Arnold married Violet Fischer in Glasford on Sept. 10, 1955.
He had been a millwright at Keystone Steel and Wire for 32 years retiring in June 1987 and was a member of the Independent Steelworker's Alliance of Bartonville, Ill. He was an Army veteran of World War II, stationed in Korea. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church near Glasford, a member of the church council, and a member of the church cemetery committee.
Survivors include his wife, Violet; three sons Douglas (Marie) Haage of Glasford, John (Julia) Haage of Peoria, and Philip (Donna) Haage of Huntley , Ill.; eight grandchildren Kristie, Kortney, and Kelsey Haage of Glasford, Matthew and Bryan Haage of Huntley, and Jed, Katie, and Kassie Haage of Peoria.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one nephew, and two nieces.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) at St. Peter's Lutheran Church near Glasford. The Rev. John Schurter officiated. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, and also one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
