Schaus-Barker

Timothy James Barker and Lisa Ann Schaus were united in marriage Aug. 19, 2006, at Christ Church in Zionsville, Ind., with the Rev. Dr. Steven Albertin presiding.

Tim is the son of Jim and Mary Barker of Ireton and Lisa is the daughter of John and Nancy Schaus, Zionsville, Ind.

Best man was Jay Becker, with Nolan Hunt and David Barker, brother of the bridegroom, as groomsmen.

Molly Schaus, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Barker, sister of the bridegroom, and Josie Glassberg.

Seating the guests were Brian Roach, cousin of the bride, Austin Skarshaug, cousin of the bridegroom, and James McKone.

Tim and Lisa arranged music for the wedding for a string quartet and trumpet. It included Mendelssohn Quartet No. 2 in A minor (Intermezzo) and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C, Andante for the bridesmaids processional and processional. The recessional was an original arrangement of "The Ash Grove."

Musicians were Christine Wilkinson, violin; Michael McGuan, violin; Erin Manlove, viola; Suzi Hintz, cello; Micah Wilkinson, trumpet; and James McKone, piano.

A reception was held at the Oak Hill mansion in Zionsville.

Tim is a 2002 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 2006 graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., with a degree in chemistry.

Lisa is a 2002 graduate of Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis, Ind., and a 2006 graduate of St. Olaf College with a degree in music and chemistry.

Following a wedding trip to Door County, Wis., the couple moved to California. Tim and Lisa and working toward Ph.D. degrees in organic chemistry at the University of California in Irvine.
