Bill and Bonnie Caravan of Le Mars announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Trudy Ann Wetrosky, to Paul Allen Hassman. Paul is the son of Kevin and Helen Reed of Remsen.

The couple is planning a sunset ceremony at 7 p.m. Oct. 14, 2006, at the upper level of the Le Mars Convention Center. A champagne reception and dance will immediately follow.

Trudy is a 2000 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and is employed part-time at the Algona Manor Care Center as a certified nursing assistant. She spends the rest of her time as a stay-at-home mom to two children, Briana Kay and Taye William.

Paul is a 1993 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and has been employed by Fareway Foods for 13 years. He currently is the assistant meat market manager at the Algona Fareway store.
