Lindsey Marie Ortmann and Aaron David Edward Wirth announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are Ed and Cathy Ortmann of Le Mars, and David and Denise Wirth of Ames.

The couple is planning a Nov. 4, 2006, wedding at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames.

Lindsey is a 2001 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and graduated from Iowa State University with an early childhood education degree. She is employed as a pre-kindergarten and K-8 technology teacher by Assumption School in Granger.

Aaron is a 2000 graduate of Gilbert High School and is employed as an electrician with Thompson Electric in Ames.
