Ernest Vortherms, 87, of Hospers, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at Orange City Health System long-term care unit in Orange City.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hospers. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by American Legion Reuter Post 0423.

Friends may call anytime after 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hospers, where there will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

The Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen is in charge of arrangements.
