Jerry and Gwen Weiler of Le Mars announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Heather Weiler, to Kevin Ortmann. Kevin is the son of Randy and Connie Ortmann of Remsen.

Heather and Kevin are both 1997 graduates of Remsen-Union High School. Heather received her associate degree in nursing at Western Iowa Tech and is the clinical nurse coordinator at the VA Outpatient Clinic in Sioux City.

Kevin attended Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, and is engaged in farming.

The couple is planning an Oct. 7, 2006, wedding at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. A reception and dance will follow at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen.
