Craig and Karen Bartolozzi of Remsen announce the engagement of their daughter, Kari Bartolozzi to Nicholas Carpenter. Nick is the son of Keith and Rose Mary Hettwer of Le Mars.

The couple is planning a Sept. 9, 2006, wedding at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. A reception for the couple will be held in Remsen at the Avalon Ballroom following the ceremony.
